Wing Snob started with a dare. Founder Marcus Reed bet his friends that he could make the best wings they'd ever tasted β in his own backyard.
The year was 2018. Marcus, a former line cook with a passion for bold heat and meticulous technique, spent three months perfecting his dry-rub blend and house sauces. He obsessed over fry temperature, wing size, sauce viscosity, and the exact second a wing becomes perfectly crispy without losing its juicy bite.
Word spread fast. Neighbors started calling. Then neighbors of neighbors. By the end of that summer, Marcus was cooking out of a rented kitchen twice a week to keep up with demand. Six months later, Wing Snob opened its first brick-and-mortar location on North Ave.

From a backyard grill to West Chicago's most beloved wing destination β here's how we got here.
Marcus Reed's backyard wing challenge goes viral among friends and neighbors. Three months of recipe testing leads to the founding sauce lineup. Wing Snob is born β officially incorporated in July 2018.
Wing Snob's first brick-and-mortar location opens at 200 W North Ave, West Chicago. Opening week is sold out three days in a row. The local paper calls it "the wing spot West Chicago didn't know it needed."
Facing unprecedented challenges, Wing Snob launches online ordering and delivery. Our loyal base rallies around us β order volume actually increases by 40% versus the prior year. We add 6 new sauces to the menu.
Demand from corporate clients and event planners leads us to formally launch Wing Snob Catering. In our first year, we cater 85 events β from birthday parties to 300-person corporate picnics across the Chicagoland area.
Wing Snob wins "Best Wings in DuPage County" for the first time β a title we've defended every year since. We expand our dining room and add a second prep kitchen to handle catering demand.
We cross the 50,000 customer milestone and launch our signature bottled sauce line, available in-store and online. Our team grows to 24 people β all proud West Chicagoans β and the mission stays the same: make the best damn wings on earth.

Classically trained with a culinary degree from Chicago's Institute of Art, Jordan brings technical precision to Wing Snob's kitchen. He's the mastermind behind our dry-rub development.
Catering & Events Director
Aaliyah has transformed Wing Snob Catering into a full-service event powerhouse. She's personally coordinated over 200 events and never once had a client leave anything but thrilled.
